The Oradell Girl Scouts are always in need of adult volunteers! Finding girls who want to be Girl Scouts is easy - finding troop leaders can be a challenge. Troops are formed by grade level and can have as few as 2 girls. Each troop requires a minimum of 2 adults to manage their activities, but we have found that forming a co-operative team of 3 or more adults to share the responsibilities makes for a better experience.
What do adults do?
* schedule and hold a meeting or outing 1-2 times per month
* manage troop funds
* communicate with parents
* purchase supplies
* arrange for their girls to participate in town wide events
...and importantly give the girls opportunities to try new things, help others and have fun doing so!
Parents, grandparents, former troop leaders, family friends and relatives are welcome to become leaders. Training is provided and takes as little as 2 hours. Adults must pass a background check every 4 years. Please contact us at oradellgirlscouts07649@gmail with any questions!
